Salóme Fannberg´s weaving career spans a long period divided by an interval of more than 30 years, during which the artist had and raised her six children. She has weaved in Iceland, Spain and Sweden and earned a solid reputation for her work.  

 

While living in Flatey island, off the West Coast of Iceland, Salóme started incorporating seaweed in her weaving, blending it with unpocessed Icelandic wool. She contnues to work and constantly evolves her methods and technique.
